Position Profile

Weaver is looking for a Paralegal to join its Tax Controversy team/group. The role includes assisting the Head of the Tax Controversy team in resolving tax disputes for clients across various industries.

 Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting responses to tax authorities.
  • Assist in developing response templates.
  • Conduct tax and legal research and analysis.
  • Liaise with external parties including clients and tax authorities.
  • Maintain client response files and manage response deadlines with tax authorities.
  • Support with administrative tasks.
  • Assist with drafting external tax content.
  • All other duties assigned.

     Qualifications

    • Proven ability to work successfully in a fast-paced controversy group  – i.e., highly organized self-starter with ability to juggle multiple projects and deadlines with little supervision.
    • High proficiency in MS Office Suite.
    • Excellent communication skills - presentation, written, and verbal.
    • College degree, plus 2-4 years paralegal experience.
