Quartermaster is seeking a full-time Creative Marketing Manager to lead cross-channel campaign strategy, execution, and reporting, media planning/buying, events, and influencer partnerships across client accounts and our owned brands. This position is hybrid, onsite in our Chicago office three days a week*, and will report directly to the VP Creative Strategy & Operations, to ensure the successful execution of marketing initiatives.
* Please note, only candidates based in the Chicago area, or those willing to relocate to Chicago, will be considered for this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ideation and development of cross-channel marketing campaigns (e.g. social media, email, paid media) that align with client objectives and include measurable success criteria.
  • Analyze campaign performance through data collection and reporting, leveraging insights to optimize future strategies.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for campaigns, regularly monitor performance metrics, and provide actionable recommendations to improve results.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and strategic planning to ensure profitability and differentiation in campaign execution.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop marketing strategies informed by industry trends, audience insights, and brand goals.
  • Develop and manage meeting agendas, editorial calendars, and project timelines to keep brand initiatives on track.
  • Create compelling marketing presentations and confidently present strategies, insights, and recommendations to clients.
  • Provide strategic direction to the internal creative team, ensuring asset development (graphics, videos, multimedia) aligns with campaign goals and drives engagement.
  • Lead strategy reviews and internal creative critiques, ensuring work meets quality and strategic standards before client presentations.
  • Plan, strategize, and manage paid media, including ad buying and optimization.
  • Design and execute social media marketing strategies, overseeing content creation, copywriting, posting, community management, and analytics.
  • Build and manage email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, targeting, and performance tracking.
  • Oversee event marketing strategies, including research, negotiation, planning, and on-site execution.
  • Develop and execute influencer marketing programs, including talent sourcing, negotiations, and campaign activation.
  • Collaborate with design and account teams to deliver solutions that meet client objectives and align with brand strategy.
  • Stay informed on market trends, emerging platforms, and new marketing opportunities to benefit internal and client brands.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Creative, highly organized self-starter with exceptional time management and problem-solving skills, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience (3–5 years) in marketing campaign management, ideally within an agency setting.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing cross-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
  • Strong strategic thinking, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Ability to guide teams autonomously, with minimal supervision.
  • Expertise in aligning consumer insights with business objectives to deliver effective marketing solutions.
  • Knowledge of paid media strategy, execution, and analytics.
  • Familiarity with email marketing platforms, social media tools, and influencer marketing best practices.
  • Adaptability to feedback and changing client needs, with a focus on delivering measurable results.
  • A strong awareness of current and emerging marketing trends, platforms, and tools.
