Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Community Support Facilitator (CSF) assumes the responsibility for operations of organization and assure agreed upon delivery of support services. 

Education:

B.A in psychology or related field (M.A Preferred) or 4 years experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities. 

Experience:

2+ years direct support experience with people with behavior challenges, medical involvement or psychiatric diagnosis, and forensic involvement.

1+ year experience coordinating services for people with developmental disabilities

1+ year experience in a supervisory position preferred. 

Physical Requirements:

Duties require 50% of work time be spent traveling from one place to another.

must have the ability to efficiently implement First Aid/CPR/Pro-act procedures.

Must have the ability to work on multiple assignments at one time.

Must have the ability to push people using wheelchairs and assist people experiencing seizures and assist people with transferring to/from wheelchairs.

Must be capable of pushing, pulling, lifting up to 60 pounds.

Must be able to physically assist people who are experiencing aggressive or assaultive behavior.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent organizational , interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including computer skills.

Interest and willingness to work with consumers to meet their needs and choices.

Ability and willingness to be flexible.

Willingness to work in an environment with consumers who may be physically, verbal or otherwise aggressive/abusive toward staff and/or others.

Valid California Drivers License, adequate transportation including valid automobile insurance and current registration, a clean DMV record.

Must pass a T.B test & drug screen

Must pass a Criminal background check (DOJ clearance)
