Position Summary:

The Corporate Account Executive will be responsible for developing and fostering professional relationships with existing and potential clients always seeking to maintain and increase customer satisfaction. You will be expected to increase the territory’s revenue by prospecting new accounts and developing new business. Taking on this role you will build strong, long-term relationships that will increase customer volume and margin across multiple modes of transportation. Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and maintain a profitable portfolio of business
  • Leverage other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings.
  • Familiarize yourself with market conditions, transportation innovations, and competitors' services, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of the value-added services provided.
  • Serve our clients by considering their short-term and long-term needs to cultivate loyal and enduring relationships
  • Always remain focused on providing best-in-class service to better service and growth potential.
  • Correspond with other teams in different locations and work collectively to manage client expectations and the holistic transportation management program.
  • Ability to manage and maintain an established book of business while developing a new portfolio of customers
  • Must be comfortable having uncomfortable conversations, solution-focused, problem solver, proactive, and strategic
  • Show revenue growth within the assigned territory
  • Entertain customers at various venues throughout the area
  • Determine a profitable pricing structure between the company and the client
  • Record all expenses weekly
  • Attend weekly sales meetings, quarterly reviews, semi-annual seminars, and all company-related functions
  • Maintain daily activity log electronically
  • Provide all internal paperwork needed to create, change, or activate any customer’s information
  • Troubleshoot any problems that occur during the sales or transportation process
  • Knowledge of Air Freight, Less Than Truckload, or Truckload
  • Prospecting and sales management skills
  • Easily establishes and maintains relationships with prospects and customers
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Highly motivated team player with a mature, positive attitude and a passion for working with customers to create value and generate revenue

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years of current field sales experience
  • Minimum of two years of transportation/logistics/supply chain background
  • Be able to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Profound understanding of various supply chain solutions and service offerings
  • Knowledge of industry terminology and market trends
  • The ability to multitask is a must
  • Strong sense of urgency
  • Independent, driven, and self-motivated
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
