At Cloudinary, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital media delivery. The bulk of the work will be in the post sales part of the customer journey with occasional engagements in Pre-Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Lead architectural discussions: design sessions, implement custom solutions, and solution reviews to ensure the optimal application of Cloudinary’s offerings in customer environments tailored to diverse customer use cases across web, mobile, eComm, digital publishing & more.
- Engage Enterprise Clients: Lead technical discussions in customer workshops and discovery sessions, translating business needs into scalable architectures.
- Be a Technical Authority: Define and advocate for architectural best practices focusing on performance, maintainability, and scalability.
- Communicate ROI: Develop and present business cases demonstrating the value and impact of your solutions to stakeholders with varying technical backgrounds.
- Elevate the Practice: Mentor junior architects, share reusable components, and influence solution design standards within the team.
- Own What You Build: Act as Tier 3 support for the custom solutions you design, ensuring proactive documentation and support strategies.
- Collaborate Globally & Cross Functionally: Work seamlessly with colleagues and customers across different time zones and cultures, contributing to a high-performing international team. Diagnose complex technical issues and deliver effective, strategic solutions in collaboration with the support and product teams. Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Partners, Product Management, and Engineering to ensure customer feedback and insights influence the product roadmap and enhance the customer experience.
- Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing: Represent Cloudinary at industry conferences, webinars, and customer events, sharing insights and best practices with a broad audience. Write in-depth knowledge articles, white papers, blogs and best practice guides to support customers and internal teams, contributing to Cloudinary’s repository of resources. Act as an industry thought leader by identifying emerging trends and developing relevant strategies to address them, positioning Cloudinary as an innovative leader in the space. Stay current with industry trends and Cloudinary’s evolving solutions to provide informed and forward-thinking guidance & configuration enhancements.
About you:
- EAST COAST ONLY
- 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, technical consulting, or enterprise application development with a focus on post-sales Customer Success setting
- Hands-On Development Skills: Proficient in at least one modern language commonly used in web or media development (e.g., JavaScript, Node.js, or Python). You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves to debug APIs, create sample apps, or build reusable integrations. You have experience building custom solutions from scratch
- Cloud-native media expertise: Proficiency with image/video management, CDN performance tuning, or media API integrations.
- Business & Technical Balance: Ability to distill complex technical solutions into clear, value-based messaging for non-technical audiences.
- Enterprise Experience: Comfortable working with global brands and navigating complex decision-making environments.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in at least one domain relevant to Cloudinary and our customers (e.g., Digital Asset Management, web performance, eCommerce platforms, mobile-first delivery).
- Documentation Skills: Proficient in capturing architecture, support models, and long-term maintenance plans.
- Ability to travel 2-3 times per quarter.
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with platforms like Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, or Shopify Plus.
- Experience working across multiple markets and languages within EMEA.
- Prior experience in technical pre-sales or post-sales implementation roles.
