Job Description
TITLE: Director, Management Information Systems
DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Director, Management Information Systems in Riverwoods, IL to develop and manage initiatives that enhance data and analytics environment. Evaluate strategies, policies, and procedures. Provide business intelligence through data. Plan and direct in areas such as electronic data processing, information systems, systems analysis, and programming. Own and manage all data assets within department. Partner with business leaders and information technology teams to ensure tools and data are available and continuously improving. Support enterprise-wide projects and collaborate with senior management with information-based decisions. Enhance system capabilities to improve decision making, operation effectiveness, and efficiencies. Monitor and maintain system and decision integrity to minimize adverse impacts on customers. Develop and manage self-service business intelligence infrastructure. Provide business analytics and reporting support for business units. Develop advanced analytic solutions in voice, text, and speech analytics. Manage and develop a highly effective team, including recruiting and retaining. Plan, initiate, prioritize, and supervise various projects to meet business needs. Manage legal and compliance implications and audit process. Promote a risk-aware culture to ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, or related quantitative field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: performing systems and data governance using technologies, including Abinitio, Alation, PySpark, and other ETL and metadata technologies; developing data infrastructure and architecture for cloud and on-premises warehouse environments, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), EMR, Snowflake, Oracle, and Teradata; performing quantitative and statistical analyses, including Excel modeling, Simulation testing, Scenario testing, advanced NLP modeling and other machine learning models using Python and SAS; performing data visualization using tools, including Tableau, Cognos, Powerpivot, and Amazon Quicksight; and performing data management activities, including Master Data Management, Data Stewardship, Data Quality Strategy, Enterprise Data Modeling, and Agile/Kanban SDLC execution. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in the above-listed fields and six (6) years of experience in the above-listed skills.
