Job Description
The Principal Systems Analyst will support 2 mission critical production systems, 2 certification systems, 2 development systems and a single test system. The candidate will support these environments using the Prognosis monitoring tool on the HP NonStop system.
This position requires a highly skilled individual with not only Prognosis experience but also HP NonStop systems experience. This position will support the prognosis application servers, which includes automation, analysis, installation, testing, creation of thresholds, displays, database collections, creating custom extractor scripts, develop complex alerts using analysis rules, maintenance and monitoring. Payments experience is a major plus, the ability to support system upgrades, DR activities, systems testing, POC’s, work evening and overnight hours when needed and work an on-call schedule.”
What You’ll Do
Provide highly complex support to the company's information technology, applications, and servers, which includes analysis, installation, testing, maintenance, operations, planning, response to service outages, and other problems.
Ensure the integration of various elements of technology so that they function effectively for end users.
Install, maintain, and monitor software and servers, ensuring proper administration of software licensing and updates.
Configure, maintain, and monitor security access control systems.
How You’ll Do It
Design and implement short- and long-term strategic goals and roadmaps for managing and maintaining systems and software for continuous integration, test data management, and test automation.
Provide security-first mindset using standard established risk controls when implementing a solution or feature.
Strategize and manage requirements from multiple values streams in co-ordination with Business and BT.
Establish approach for early component-level testing through various capabilities, including generating synthetic data, on-demand app provisioning, virtualizing dependencies — continually evaluating it to ensure it meets application design changes.
Lead team members and assist with building-enhanced software capabilities in the areas of test data management, continuous integration, and quality architecture.
Mentor other engineers, helping them understand the approach, tools, and process.
Work closely with the disaster recovery function in planning and coordinating business continuity efforts, including backup and restoration of data and ensuring high systems availability.
Evaluate and implement new tools for continually improving the existing process and ensuring system architecture is aligned with enterprise goals.
Qualifications You’ll Need
The Basics
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology/systems or engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience in managing TDM, CI, or quality architecture for a large organization.
Strong programming skills, primarily in Java
In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in hands-on development in multiple programming languages with distributed infrastructure
Bonus Points If You Have
Master's degree in computer science, information technology/systems or engineering, or related field
