Role overview
DUAL North America, Inc. is seeking an Intern to join the team.  We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Insurance Technology Summer Intern. This position will require hands on code development, application form design, documentation, unit testing, and troubleshooting of defects and issues that arise in the existing application software. Expectations for this position include developing technical and analytical skills to conduct code analysis and perform testing of code changes.

Role responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot minor issues in Power BI reports and datasets.

  • Interpret SQL queries to understand data structures and logic.

  • Assist with collecting, cleaning, and validating data from various sources.

  • Maintain the full documentation library for all reporting assets.

  • Work in both Kanban and Scrum Agile environments

  • Continually improve processes and solutions, seeking ways to use new tools, features, and capabilities

Key requirements

  • Current enrollment in a relevant major

  • Course work towards a college degree in computer science, software development, or a related field

  • Course work involving Power BI, SSMS, R, or Python

  • Exposure to database technology and basic SQL queries

  • Sound technical and analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 

  • Self-motivated with ability to follow procedures, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
