Data Center Project Manager
IMC is looking for a detail-oriented and driven Data Center Project Manager to join our Global Research Cluster (GRC) team. As the number of GRC systems and locations continues to grow, this role will be key in managing all activities related to our data center (DC) environments. You will oversee end-to-end operations across multiple DCs, ensuring efficient project execution, hardware delivery, and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, hands-on project management skills, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly across internal teams and external vendors.

You will oversee end-to-end operations across multiple DCs, ensuring efficient project execution, hardware delivery, and ongoing maintenance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical understanding of data center infrastructure, hands-on project management skills, and the ability to coordinate seamlessly across internal teams and external vendors.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Manage Data Center Expansion Projects
- Oversee power, (liquid) cooling, and heating/cooling air circulation (H/CaC) design and installation in coordination with DC partners
- Collaborate with data centers on large-scale power and cooling requirement design for expansion sites
- Oversee Hardware Delivery and Installation Process
- Manage the end-to-end hardware lifecycle-from PO submission to full installation in the data center
- Track orders, liaise with Procurement, and manage inventory
- Ensure GRC asset records are accurate and up to date in Workday
- Coordinate deliveries, on-site logistics, and remote hands for installation work
- Partner with Platform and Network teams to transition systems from installation to production
- Lead Hardware Monitoring and Issue Resolution
- Proactively manage and resolve hardware-related issues
- Coordinate with DC Engineering for repairs and replacements
- Manage RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) processes
- Oversee Equipment Servicing and Maintenance
- Manage maintenance schedules and vendor servicing for critical systems, including liquid cooling
- Coordinate Data Center Engineering and Vendor Operations
- Plan and oversee DC Engineering workstreams
- Serve as primary contact for DC vendors, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution
- Perform hands-on data center work when required
Your Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of DC power and (liquid) cooling systems
- Hands-on experience managing modern HPC environments and liquid cooled GPU hosts
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to handle multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and vendor teams
