Your Core Responsibilities
- The Data Engineer builds and administers data workflows in IMC's evolving, modern big data environment.
- Develop and extend in-house data toolkits based in Python and Java.
- Build data pipelines using big data tools including Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and AWS.
- Work with our trading and research teams to develop data solutions.
- Assist in identifying solutions that match the problem space and harmonize with our internal data platform.
- Improve the performance of financial analytics platforms built around the big data ecosystem.

- Developing streaming data applications using Kafka;
- Developing and extending data solutions in containerized environments (Docker or Kubernetes) using Java, Python, or common data-science toolkits; and
- Unix scripting (Bash, tcsh, zsh, and Python).
