The analyst will develop and optimize ETL workflows, write complex SQL queries, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure data quality and delivery.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated SQL / ETL Analyst to join our data team and support the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and reporting solutions. This role is ideal for a mid-level analyst with strong SQL skills and hands-on experience using ETL tools such as Alteryx or Pentaho.
The successful candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to ensure reliable, high-quality data delivery and will contribute to improving and optimizing existing ETL processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL workflows and data pipelines
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures
- Build and maintain data solutions using Alteryx, Pentaho, or similar ETL tools
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Perform data validation, quality assurance, and troubleshooting
- Monitor and improve ETL performance and reliability
- Support reporting, analytics, and downstream data consumers
- Document data processes, workflows, and technical designs
Required Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in SQL development and ETL/data integration
- Strong proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx and/or Pentaho
- Solid understanding of ETL best practices and data warehousing concepts
- Experience working with large, complex datasets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with additional ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, Talend, etc.)
- Familiarity with BI and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Basic scripting experience (Python or similar)
