As the Data Governance Analyst you will specialize in managing the information flow for the Bank, including the integrity, efficiency, and availability of data. The data governance analyst is responsible for developing and implementing data standards, guaranteeing metadata is captured correctly, and creating methods for monitoring and reporting any data incidents. They may also create and maintain common data dictionaries and the tools or methods that support data standards.
The Data Governance Analyst will analyze and oversee strategies designed to enhance data reliability and minimize redundancies. They will work closely with information technology personnel to develop data quality standards. The data governance analyst will create key performance indicators and supply colleagues and organizational management with performance results. They may also assist with data monitoring and provide organizational management with guidance on streamlining data management.
Primary responsibilities include
- Acts as a single point of contact for interactions between the Lines of Business, Information Management and Data Governance initiatives.
- Works directly with the Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to identify existing and/or document new processes and controls that support Data Governance policies and procedures; ensure results are communicated and implemented.
- Provides support to data stewards in fulfilling Data Governance initiatives across the enterprise.
- Develops working relationships with the Lines of Businesses, Technology and Audit functions in order to work collaboratively to respond to strategic needs.
- Coordinates Data Governance activities across the enterprise. Support assigned Data Governance project activities to ensure tasks are documented, appropriately assigned and the desired deliverables are implemented.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other analytical field
- 2-5 years of experience in a data management role
- Deep understanding of master data management best practices and procedures
- Basic understanding of ETL and data modelling tools
- Good customer facing and communication skills
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other analytical field

- Hours per Week: 40
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
