Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data/Tech Support Analyst to serve as the bridge between business users, BI teams, and technical teams. This role is responsible for resolving data and system issues, supporting end users, and leveraging data analysis to diagnose problems and drive continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate combines solid SQL/Python skills with strong communication and troubleshooting ability. This role works closely with operational teams, product managers, BI developers, and engineers to triage user-reported issues, investigate data anomalies, and ensure reliable data and system performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for business users; triage data and system-related issues, coordinate with business, product, and engineering teams, and drive end-to-end resolution
- Use SQL and Python to perform log and data investigation, diagnose system or data pipeline issues, and identify root causes of user-reported problems
- Provide routine configuration and account/permission support; assist with on-site support and shift-based coverage as needed
- Monitor and validate data accuracy across reports, dashboards, and data feeds; proactively flag and escalate anomalies and data quality issues to relevant teams
- Build and maintain operational dashboards and recurring reports tracking support metrics, system health, and issue resolution trends
- Communicate investigation results and data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Engineers, and product teams to investigate and resolve data pipeline, reporting, and user data questions (report definitions, data interpretation, anomaly investigation)
- Participate in UAT and QA activities; conduct post-incident reviews, document lessons learned, and develop standardized support playbooks and knowledge base documentation
- Maintain data definitions, KPI standards, and governance documentation; work with operations teams to identify opportunities to improve data tooling and support processes
- Leverage AI-assisted analytics tools to improve investigation efficiency and insight generation; support trend analysis and business performance evaluation where applicable
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, technical support, or a hybrid data/operations support role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Strong troubleshooting mindset with the ability to independently investigate and resolve data and system issues
- Experience providing user-facing support; comfort with on-call or shift-based support arrangements
