The CRM Business Analyst will support and help drive the project execution of the expanding and evolving set of products used from the Salesforce CRM platform, across Life Fitness globally. This includes understanding our desired customer experience across commercial functions, scoping projects that enable this through the Salesforce platform, driving business/functional requirements and overseeing project execution through rollout and change management. This ecosystem currently includes Sales Cloud, Pardot, and Community Cloud, with an eye to expansion into other front and back office integrations.
This person will also contribute to the analysis and design of Salesforce enhancements and therefore should be highly inquisitive, analytical, pro-active, organized and have a demonstrated ability to achieve results by working both independently and in a team environment.
The position reports directly to the Senior Manager of CRM. As the right hand of the Senior Manager, this individual must have previously demonstrated success engaging with cross-functional stakeholders in an enterprise-level sales organization. This role is a great opportunity for junior-level CRM analysts, administrators or power users that are looking to advance their experience in Salesforce.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Define working groups of CRM users across functions outside of sales, including marketing, sales enablement, sales operations, service (call center and field technicians), inside sales support, order management, customer finance/credit and others
Define and manage projects that lead to a standard set of salesforce tools, used in a globally standard set of processes, maintaining data integrity in their usage
Effectively act as the liaison between users, vendors, and the application development teams
Gather, document, analyze and drawing conclusions regarding complex data and information from the business to develop clear user stories capturing all business and functional requirements
Presents documentation supporting project initiatives including business case, project scope, business and functional requirements, and use cases to IT
Collaborate with IT on the overall configuration, design and layout of the Salesforce system architecture
Define, coordinate, and execute user acceptance tests against business requirements with or on behalf of the business units.
Effectively communicate information and respond to questions from end users pertaining to the CRM
Clearly communicate project status to key players throughout the entire development process
Perform reporting activities and analysis; and support data quality requirements in Salesforce. This will also encompass non-integration related data loads
Communicate any changes within the role hierarchy, profiles, and permissions to the CRM Administrator
Maintain training material and lead global training on Salesforce for the global organization to grow the Salesforce.com skill set – both direct and dealer/distributor reps. Work with Sales Enablement to package/deliver training and lead teams of global champions to cascade best practices
Ensure proper communication is distributed to users regarding feature changes and/or updates within Salesforce
Support the monitoring and response to adoption rates as needed (additional training sessions, communication, modifications, or other resources) to increase user use
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Demonstrated understanding of Sales Operations, Finance, Program Management, and Change Management
Experience with CRM ecosystem(s) in real-world setting at a B2B selling organization
Experience working with CRM systems required
Knowledgeable on Sales processes areas: Lead/Opp. Management, Quoting, Forecasting, Knowledge Management, Sales Enablement
Expert experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, creating detailed functional designs and process documentation
Proven ability to efficiently operate, meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests with limited direction in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
Ability to work well with various individuals including project stakeholders and project team members
Ability to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources and distinguish user requests from underlying true needs
Drive project deliverables with shared resources
Should possess a drive for continuous improvement and optimization of results
Excellent communication, presentation and analysis skills
Education/Training:
Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years of experience in Salesforce, either as an administrator, analyst or power user required
Previous experience in requirements gathering, needs analysis and project implementation highly desired
Salesforce certification preferred
