What You'll Bring

A degree in Information systems, Computer Science, Statistics or Business with technical coursework

Hands-on experience writing SQL queries; a plus if you have experience with any combination of Tableau, Ab Initio, Linux command-line tools, and R.

Experience with Big Data technologies including Apache Hadoop, Spark and Hive.

Familiarity with AWS and cloud native data processing tools like Redshift, EMR and Snowflake. Certification on AWS Big Data technologies is a plus

Strong written language skills and familiarity with technical documents such as data dictionaries and process flow diagrams. Able to write instructions and procedural documentation.

Experience in the financial services or consumer data industries a plus.

Should be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented and bring a collaborative work-ethic to the team.

How you’ll contribut

Impact You'll Make

Perform analysis on new, emerging data assets for use in TransUnion products and provide support for data assets hosted in TransUnion’s state-of-the-art data analytics environment.

You will take ownership of the data that underpins TransUnion’s data research and model development.

You will become the resident expert in the data assets that are hosted and how they can be used to add value to TransUnion’s product development.

Evaluate and measure the quality and coverage of data assets (internal and external), and seek to derive new business insights from the data assets to support new product development; summarize and present the analysis results

Identify, research, and develop solutions to improve TransUnion’s data quality and consumer matching

Own the data and be responsible for the security and movement of data assets in and out of TransUnion’s data analysis platforms (both on premise and cloud)

Learn TransUnion’s core credit data as well as other alternate data assets TransUnion has licensed and provide subject matter expertise to projects requiring this data
