What will your day look like?
You will support the business by proactively providing data that enables actionable business insight and supports effective decision-making abilities. The incumbent creates recurring and ad-hoc reports/dashboards and delivers findings. The incumbent has a passion for problem solving, an intellectual curiosity to dig deep into root causes, along with the ability to think conceptually, analytically and creatively. G eneral direction is received from the Manager, Business Insights .
Responsibilities

- Gather data, integrate new data sets, data analysis, and communicate findings and recommendations to business partners throughout the organization
- Apply industry and business knowledge to obtain appropriate data sets to solve analytical problems
- Use data analysis techniques like data cleansing, data mining, etc. to collect, explore, and extract insights from large scale data sets
- Work with the Decision Science team and other business partners to build and execute ad hoc queries using SQL or other data platforms to provide data for further analysis
- Support organizational data quality by working with IT teams to address data issues when they are identified
- Provide data analysis using dashboards, scorecards, charts/graphs, drill-downs, and reports to support business decisions
- Present data and analysis in a clear and concise manner
- Monitor historical and real-time performances of key metrics to detect and report anomalies
- Understand analytical business objectives, the metrics that are the most important to accomplish the objectives, and how to measure performance
- Work closely with other Data Science and IT teams to build and maintain data capabilities
Adhere to and ensure compliance of all business transactions with policy and process of the Bank Secrecy Act. Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws, company procedures and policies. Maintains integrity and ethics in all actions and conversations with or regarding credit union members and their accounts; complies with Privacy Act directives.
Qualifications

You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems or related field required; Master's degree preferred, with 1 year of Finance industry experience preferred, and you have:
- 2-5 years' relevant experience in report development, data science, business analytics, business intelligence or comparable data engineering role
- Hands-on experience with BI tools, such as SAP BO, Tableau, Power BI
- Hands-on experience and knowledge in SQL
- Hands-on experience with data manipulation
- Working understanding of quantitative/statistical analysis
- Experience in at least 1 programming language preferred (R, Python, etc.)
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence
- Understand data modeling concepts such as facts, dimensions and star schemas preferred
- Experience with business systems analysis or data analytics /business intelligence requirements gathering
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adjust with changing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team.
