The Forecasting Analyst is a key member of our Retail Team, as it improves Home Chef’s retail forecast accuracy and efficiency. The Forecasting Analyst plays an integral role in operating the retail business. This role executes on deliverables across a wide range of initiatives, all aimed at setting up Home Chef for long term success in Kroger stores.

Develop methodologies and analyses to inform Home Chef retail supply decisions

• Identify areas of opportunity to reduce waste of Home Chef products in Kroger stores
• Identify stores and products for which Home Chef should adjust supply to meet customer demand
• Analyze sales and demand trends to inform demand predictions

Drive projects to improve retail forecast efficiency and accuracy

• Work cross-functionally to reduce bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the retail forecast process
• Develop tools to automate retail forecast processes and tasks
• Work with data team partners to root cause forecasting problems, enhance existing forecasting tools, build new tools, etc

Manage retail forecast inputs and data

• Manage retail forecast inputs, supplying tools with updated data and information
• Work with operations partners on setting up new facilities, managing production schedules, etc
• Manage day to day operation of retail forecast, collaborating with operations teams on updates to daily production

• Self-starter, eager to learn, collaborative, data-driven, and seeking to gain valuable hands-on experience 
• Professional communication and relationship building skills, ability to influence cross-functional partners
• Completion of a four-year degree program
• Previous experience with fresh/perishable products is a plus
• Ability to conduct analysis using Excel and Google SheetsSQL experience is a plus
• Intellectually curious, with a strong interest in the food and/or e-commerce spaces 
• Results driven active problem solver with a natural desire to get things done
