Forecasting Analyst
Purpose:
This role will be responsible for the creation and deployment of sophisticated analytics to improve product and promotional forecasts across the company. This analyst will build custom algorithms that involve learning from rapidly shifting data and projecting the direction of the business at the most granular level. As we improve our ability to quickly react to shifts in our business, this role will help drive down costs, improve our inventory efficiency, and lead to profitable growth. The analyst will join a highly visible analytics team that owns the company’s strategic thinking and data-driven approach to making decisions and identifying opportunities. We function as internal consultants – partnering across the business to deliver insights that drive action in real-time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the current landscape of forecasting at Pampered Chef
- Build and implement predictive models to increase forecasting accuracy for new products, existing products, and promotions
- Ensure data quality and accuracy from data sourcing through modeling process
- Establish a process to increase forecasting consensus across the company to gain broader buy-in
- Advise key stakeholders on statistical best practices and methods for continuous improvement
- Build metrics, reports, and dashboard to evaluate and problem solve for forecasting error
- Continually challenge current assumptions and processes, even when outside the scope of forecasting

- New/Existing Product Forecast Accuracy
- Promotional Forecast Accuracy
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an analytical area such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar
- Professional or academic experience in modeling and analysis, including statistical analysis, demand forecasting, data science, machine learning, or data mining
- Experience with SQL and analytics software (R, Python, Spark, SAS)
- Familiarity with AWS solutions
