Operations Business Analyst

The Operations Business Analyst will play a role in helping maintain the smooth running of our business and at the same time answer key questions about opportunities to further improve our product. The role will be responsible for owning and improving our demand forecasting process for the online side of our business. The role will also dedicate substantial time to doing data analyses for various teams to inform decisions such as new feature launches, business cases, retention and acquisition trends, etc. We are looking for an individual who is equally comfortable updating a programmatic script as he/she is explaining order numbers to our ingredient buyers.
Own and maintain our eCommerce demand forecasting
- Continuously improve accuracy of meal-level forecasts through testing and implementing new methodologies
- Generate and communicate the forecast on daily basis to our facility and supply chain teams
- Optimize process of communicating forecast to aforementioned teams as well as downstream actions taken on changes in forecast
- Work to automate parts of forecasting process through programmatic scripting
Work and present cross-functional data analyses (examples below)
- Understand key drivers of customer retention and acquisition, in what direction each is trending and why, and implications to our business
- Analyze customer ordering patterns to model out potential upside of offering new and different meal types
- Investigate the impact of geography and temperature on willingness of customers to order and recommend actions based on findings
Data tracking and automation
- Design and maintain tools to track performance of new product features, key decisions, etc.
- Help drive automation beyond forecasting within our operational and product tools

- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in quantitative field
- 1-2 years working experience in a fast-paced data analysis role preferred
- Excellent spreadsheet and data analysis skills (e.g Excel or Google Sheets)
- Basic working knowledge of SQL and Python
- Strong communication and organization
- Independent solution orientated thinker
