Oracle Database Application Administrator
PURPOSE:
The Oracle Database Application Administrator will keep Oracle running at peak performance, securing it and attending to day-to-day administrative needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• perform installations, upgrades, and patches to the database servers and application tools
• create, monitor, maintain, and tune the company’s relational databases
• create primary database storage structures and objects, including capacity planning
• develop backup and recovery procedures for the databases, develop and test disaster recovery databases
• enroll users, maintain system security, and audit database access
• help developers with data loads, SQL tuning, and creating PL/SQL package
• document standard of operations and communicate database changes to staff that would be affected
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, Technology, Agricultural Science and 5 years of progressive experience in Oracle Applications Database Administration.
• Additionally, 5 years of professional experience with:
1) Performing installations, upgrades and patches to Oracle database and applications, using Oracle EBS, Oracle Demantra, Oracle WebLogic Server, Oracle Grid Infrastructure, Oracle DataGuard, Oracle SOA on Windows and UNIX/LINUS platforms
2) Developing data load practices, DBA tuning expertise for SQL, database and applications tuning
3) Linux/Unix and windows scripting and automation
4) Full life cycle upgrades of Oracle EBS Applications version 11i to version R12 leveraging load balancing best practices
5) Installing, configuring and upgrading DMZ servers for Oracle iSupplier and internet-facing applications
