What We'll Bring

As the Senior Advisor of Product Strategy, Insurance Solutions you will own the development of our organizations strategic and operating plan/roadmap and will partner closely with product leaders and insurance vertical leaders as well as functional leaders across the TransUnion global operating model. As a key contributor to the strategic plan, you will be charged with supporting product and market leaders with regard to development of product growth, orchestration and sunset strategies as well as new market entrance.

At times, you will be involved in M&A and/or partnership activity and may be called upon to lead certain aspects of these initiatives. You will manage multiple projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand overall priorities, and set expectations through clear and frequent communication (verbal and written). Additionally, you will compile, analyze, synthesize, and summarize qualitative and quantitative information from internal and external sources to address specific business needs and problems.

It is expected that you will contribute to thought leadership which may include leading research projects and public speaking opportunities where you will share TransUnion’s perspective.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree with an MBA or other Master’s degree program preferred but not required

6+ years of professional experience

Preference for an individual with professional level experience within the life or P&C insurance space

Prior management consulting and/or strategy level experience desired

Experience working effectively with cross-functional senior-level managers and executives, both internal and external

Proven ability to build relationships

Strong verbal and written communication skills ideally with public speaking experience

Strong quantitative and problem solving skills

Strong organizational and project management skills and high degree of comfort managing multiple assignments with little direct supervision

Desire to produce high quality work

Driven by intellectual curiosity and independent thinking

Positive “can do” attitude

Impact You'll Make

You will build a strong understanding of our solutions, the markets we serve and TU’s enterprise capabilities

You will contribute to our strategic plan and then lead the development ofthe plan to activate it for the insurance solutions group

When required, you will define and create (or support) the development of business cases to justify the launch of new products and other growth initiatives based on a fact-based, analytically-driven approach

Through your research, you will understand our business capabilities and requirements, the market’s demands and unmet needs, and any capability gaps that we may have

You will maintain awareness of current industry trends through publications, company press releases, and various forms of primary and secondary research – and use that information to inform our go-forward strategies

Working with product leaders combined with market insights and data, you will develop opinions regarding how to improve our product orchestration, delivery and sunset strategies

You will contribute to the vetting of strategic partners and M&A targets and at times, may be asked to manage an aspect of these relationships

Working with the strategy and planning team within the insurance vertical, you will contribute to thought leadership concepts and may lead a concept from ideation through the development and presentation of our findings

At times, you will be called upon to represent the insurance solutions group at either internal or external meetings

You will create executive-ready materials (e.g., business cases and PowerPoint presentations) for the purpose of delivering (and reinforcing) key messages and making key decisions with stakeholders

You will perform project management and coordination tasks, assigning and coordinating project activities for cross-functional teams, developing project plans and status reports and serving as the communications point for the project

When required, you will engage with our technology partners to support our strategic needs

You will build trust with business partners (internal and external), customers, key decision makers, and project sponsors by meeting individual commitments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
