Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

We are looking for a Sr Business Technical Analyst who will partner with McDonald’s Restaurant Operations Managers and Country representatives to understand and document test requirements, create technology plans, and execute the plans to get restaurant systems configured and ready for testing. You are a technically focused leader who is comfortable working with developers and with business partners in a fast paced, innovative and unique environment, and is also not afraid to get hands on in code to make updates

Planning & Requirements

• Participate in planning sessions and market calls to define and document technology requirements
• Provide estimates and plans for work tasks
• Establish and drive plans to maintain software used in testing

Setup & Test

• You have working experience in configurations required for network, POS, Kiosk and other supporting systems
• Install and deploy POS and Kiosk along with pre-requisites such as the network to meet test requirements
• Validate and test that all requirements are met before handing over to operations and marketing partners

Support

• Monitor testing to ensure zero technical issues
• Rapidly resolve technical issues as they arise during testing
• Be able to identify technical problem areas and develop solutions to improve quality and to prevent future problems
• Make configuration and setup changes as required during tests

Expertise

• Develop and maintain software tools as needed
• Deep understanding of Visual Basic,.NET, SQL Server and XML
• Strong knowledge of POS and corresponding hardware
• Maintain extensive knowledge of standards such as Cat5e and Cat6e, as well as network solutions from companies such as NETGEAR
• Explore new technologies and provide assessment
• Maintain equipment inventory and participate in regular inventory reviews
• Provide setup and support expertise in support of large events such as Worldwide Convention
• Handle complex technical issues with kitchen configuration

• Minimum Requirements
• Experienced knowledge of point of sale systems and software
• Highly experienced in MS Access, Visual Basic and Visual Basic.NET, SQL server and XML
• 3-5 years of experience with Point-of-Sale development
• Ability to Design and develop reusable libraries and APIs
• Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) including experience collecting requirements, coding, testing, documenting, supporting and maintaining applications.
• Explore and evaluate innovative technologies
• Learn skills necessary to provide support and troubleshooting expertise of existing software applications
• Takes initiative to handle crisis situations in an efficient manner
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
