The Sr. Data Analyst – Fraud is a core member of our Fraud prevention team, leading data-driven metrics for business and product stakeholders. This role will work closely with Fraud, Data and Security teams to independently formulate scientifically-sound key performance indicators, dashboards, alert thresholds and automated reports. Furthermore, this role is expected to grow as the organization matures and develops custom abuse-preventing machine learning models. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience as an independent contributor to robust analytics programs and technical depth to understand commonly logged attributes at a SaaS organization. Fraud/Operations experience is preferred.

What your day could consist of:

• Build tools and capabilities to make KPI/KRI data accessible and consumable for business, product and engineering leadership
• Surface insights and identify areas of concern, identifiable patterns, anomalies and data gaps
• Participate in high-complexity Fraud investigations and provide root-cause analysis
• Develop dashboards, data pipelines and track performance of newly deployed features by the Fraud team
• Project impact of Fraud system configuration changes
• Contribute to the development and validation testing of internal fraud models and tool POCs
• Independently present to small and medium audiences across the organization

What is needed:

• 3+ years performing complex analytics and delivering actionable reports
• Expert in querying relational and non-relational databases and joining complex data sources: SQL, MYSQL, SnowFlake, AWS Athena, Kibana, ELK, JSON, DataDog
• Ability to script, automate and independently develop data models for regression and cluster analysis
• Experience working with big-data applications and data lakes highly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to present data through visuals, dashboards and tabular forms: Excel, Looker, Tableau and other BI tools
• Willingness and desire to work independently and problem-solve with visionary guidance
• Positive, learning mindset along with a detail-oriented, analytical approach to solving problems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience in R, Python, Matlab or other data-oriented programming languages
• Experience in anti-fraud, platform abuse prevention, information security or web service industries
• BS and/or MS of Analytics/Data Analytics
• Experience in Fraud operations and/or incident response
• International experience a plus
