We are seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst who is a lifetime student, passionate about the use of technology to achieve business goals. S/he is self-motivated, thrives on working across multiple teams, and can use technology to solve complex business problems. The role focuses on supporting the business areas of Software Enterprise and Mobile Video. This is a lead position which has strong business facing aspects as well as accountability for delivery and leading projects. You will be responsible for working with business to prioritize demand, plan roadmap and help applying technology to enable the growth of business. You will also have end to end accountability starting from business case development, to leading the implementation end to end.
Scope of Responsibilities / Expectations
Work with business partners across all business functional areas (primarily Software Enterprise and Mobile Video) to understand their requirements, develop creative solutions, and lead the development, testing and implementation.
Collaborate effectively with both business and IT partners to meet commitments. Work through issues and challenges to complete tasks on time and on budget.
Determine the objectives of an assignment, and exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to achieve measurable business outcomes.
Use your business acumen, technical skills, and knowledge of Oracle applications to estimate effort, engage IT partners, and lead solution delivery.
Translate rapidly transforming business needs into functional requirements, including proposing alternative solutions or options for implementation. Work with the various IT development teams or IT external partners to manage software demonstrations and proof of concepts (POC) to aid quick business decision making.
Proactively manage conflicting priorities, and drive prioritization discussions using strategic value.
Evaluate business processes, uncover areas for improvement, and identify creative ways to grow our software subscription business
Strong leadership & partnering skills to lead strategic projects, manage business case development, prioritize projects, and manage resource staffing through implementation
Detail oriented, with the ability to trace problems at the root, whether the cause is data or system related. Implement rapid resolutions and manage customer expectations, including broad communications.
2+ years of experience in a delivery leadership role
Demonstrated IT experience in leading & delivering large complex efforts & a basic understanding of various IT applications
Strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills
A basic understanding of the IT applications from Quote to Cash
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional & geographically dispersed teams
Experience with Agile methodology for project delivery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
Must be able to manage project task execution independently and get associated team members to deliver their tasks on time, both with and without direct authority
Self motivated, ability to work independently, and drive execution independently
Very strong team player. Should possess the ability to foster teamwork and a positive working environment for the project team, in light of changes and challenges.
Must be well rounded, and have the ability to quickly come up to speed when exposed to multiple business and technical functions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and generate new ideas to improve our business with the latest technology!
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline plus 10+ years of IT experience
- OR Masters degree in related field plus 7+ years of IT experience
