Specialist I, Database Administrator, Proposal Team
What We'll Bring
Under the direction of the Proposal Team, the Database Administrator (DBA) manages, backs up, and ensures the availability of the data produced and consumed by the Proposal Team. The DBA monitors completed proposals, adds the question and answer (Q & A) pairs to the content database, and assigns owners and titles. They work with Information Security, Specialized Risk Group, Healthcare, and other departments to automate their Q & A pairs. The DBA will assist in uploading proposals into online portals as directed. This position is an important supplement to the Proposal Team in assisting, maintaining, and enhancing existing client relationships and supporting the sales process. Will learn proposal automation initiatives (Proposal Pro and Proposal Database) and contribute as directed.
What You'll Bring
Proficiency in English, communications, or related field, and strong verbal and writing skills are required.
Editing and proofreading skills, including grammar and sentence structure, a plus.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and management skills are necessary to facilitate successful completion of complex projects.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and interface with a variety of people effectively.
We'd Love to See:
Ability to work independently and within a group and to remain calm under pressure is required. Proven analytical and problem solving skills a plus.
Experience in tracking and documenting information via spreadsheets and using software tools to create documents recommended.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications with the ability to learn additional programs as needed.
Impact You'll Make
Monitors the completion of custom proposals and adds the question and answer (Q & A) pairs to the content database, assigning owners and titles.
Periodically migrates the database to The Source.
Assists in various aspects of the proposal process including gathering information, working with subject matter experts, and eliciting feedback.
Using research, interviews, and resources, may update and edit responses to proposal questions and data requests at the direction of the Proposal Team.
Ensure all information is consistent with the organization’s brand message, business objectives, and stylistic standards.
Ensures proposal-related documents are organized, maintained, and tracked efficiently and accurately for easy access.
Assists in special projects to improve proposal processes and support organization objectives.
