Sr. Analyst, Business Intelligence

What will you be doing?
The Sr. Analyst, BI is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining solutions that support MoLo's business objectives. These solutions will enable the team, and stakeholders across the organization, to effectively answer key operational questions and make better decisions. The Sr. Analyst must be able to work collaboratively with the Analytics engineer and the rest of the Business Intelligence team to drive strategy and achieve MoLo's goals. Most importantly, this person will demonstrate MoLo's core values across all aspects of their job and interactions with the MoLo family.
Responsibilities:
- Independently develop, execute and monitor complex data management and analytic processes
- Closely collaborate with fellow Business Intelligence team members and interact with stakeholders across the organization to build data products
- Drive corporate strategy by ensuring internal data, BI activity and technologies are aligned
- If necessary, research and propose any additional BI tools, "build or buy", to support MoLo's strategic business initiatives
- Review and optimize data product configurations to improve data reliability, efficiency and quality
- Support MoLo's Business Intelligence team by establishing best practices, developing tools, and building infrastructure
- Act as a resource to share, and learn, best practices from the rest of the BI team
- Work with the Analytics Engineer to align data architecture with business need
- Find hidden patterns using data
- Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling
- Deploy sophisticated analytics programs, machine learning and statistical methods
- Develop the vision and map strategy to provide proactive solutions
- Enable stakeholders to extract insights and value from data including the use of advanced analytics
- Promote data governance and management as a strategic discipline
Requirements
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of work experience in a data analysis/engineering role
- Experience in third party logistics strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Experience leading technical projects
- Results oriented, self-motivated, and driven to succeed
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced team members
- Expertise with SQL and RDBMS
- Experience working with RESTful APIs
- Experience with data visualization utilizing enterprise BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong understanding of: Python (pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, openpyxl, tensorflow); Data modeling and warehousing techniques; ETL/ELT Tools (Stitch/Fivetran); Cloud technology platforms (Azure preferred); Preprocessing data for machine learning algorithms such as linear regression or time series modeling
- Bachelor's degree preferred
