Home Chef is looking to hire an experienced Data Developer to join our Business Analytics team in building out our data warehouse as well as our analytical capabilities as a team.
Specifically this role would help lead the thinking on how we structure the data model within our data warehouse and guide the rest of the team along that path. This role would also then be responsible for the technical scoping and execution of the complex parts of that data model itself. In addition, this role will also help manage the BI tools, analytics, and reporting that sit on top of our warehouse.
Responsibilities:
- Defining the organization of our data model for our data warehouse and creating a high level framework that would best serve our team and Home Chef more broadly
- Guiding the team in planning the tactical approaches, including the appropriate set of transformations and entities, to model out the various data needs of stakeholders
- Directly building and maintaining the codebase underlying the most complex parts of our data model
- Working with various parties around the organization to design how to best surface data in our data warehouse to reporting, analytics, and visualization tools
- Meeting with stakeholders to deeply understand needs of their teams
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of working in a data focused role
- Flexible, pragmatic, value-add, stakeholder-oriented mindset
- At least a few years of experience in the data modeling space with deep understanding of tradeoffs and key decisions teams can make
- Highly proficient in SQL
- Well versed in a general purpose programming language, preferably Python
- Experience working with various BI tools and Google Sheets
- Experience utilizing workflow management platforms like Airflow preferred
- Understanding of AWS resourcing, specifically S3 and EC2/EMR preferred
