We are seeking an Associate Business Development Director/Deal Origination Manager/Origination Team Manager to join our high-growth, fast-paced organization. This candidate will play a critical role in growing the lead generation functions across portfolio companies.

Primary Job Responsibilities

Expand and develop lead generation teams across industries and portfolio companies

  • Lead onboarding and training for Business Development Associates (BDAs) and Lead Generation Managers
  • Develop and refine training materials
  • Conduct ongoing coaching and facilitate messaging/process improvements

Improve reporting analytics

  • Enhance reporting automation and CRM functionality
  • Build and improve BDA reports for better tracking and insights
  • Ensure CRM data integrity, including call logging and note entry

Enhance Team Performance & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work with BDAs, BD Directors, and Marketing on outreach initiatives
  • Support event and travel planning, incentive programs, and territory targeting
  • Assist new portfolio companies with broker outreach

Optimize Technology & Process Tools

  • Research, demo, and recommend prospecting tools
  • Support portfolio companies in integrating new tools
  • Maintain CTM functionality and resolve phone-related issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • Proven success in managing sales, lead generation, or business development roles
    • 1-2 years experience in Management role
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport
  • Self-motivated and target-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Results-oriented approach with a track record of success
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales productivity tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn about new industries, products, or services
  • Knowledge of market research techniques and industry analysis is a plus
  • Ability to commute to the Downtown Chicago area 5 days /week
