Job Description

Position Summary

The Advanced Demand Planner will be responsible for working cross functionally with critical strategic Commercial Teams, such as Commercial Growth, Brand Strategy, SET, and Finance to build and maintain a long-term integrated depletion plans using complex data and insights, forecasting techniques, evaluating market intelligence, and using collaborative input from various partners that will feed long term strategic demand planning, annual/long range financial planning and set the baseline for S&OP tactical planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible to collaborate with strategic business partners to define, build, and continuously evolve long-term strategic commercial growth plans thru Depletions plans, utilizing complex data inputs and business intelligence.  Specific examples include, but not limited to:

    • Strategic new product pre-launch planning.

    • Scenario creation process and resulting recommendations.

    • Strategic volume projection that connects strategic insights from the S&OP process into the long-range plan (LRP) process. Partnering with the business to build out a regular refresh process for stakeholders including finance and Advance Planning Supply team.

  • Partner with Sales and Finance on annual depletions plan creation, while further building out our linkage and partnership between our operational plan and the sales and finance process.

  • Develop long term distributor level plans to further connect our overall planning process from end to end. This will include refining and building new ways of working to create linkages between our commercial and operational plans with key distributor insights.

  • Conduct various scenario planning in conjunction with the commercial and Advanced Planning Supply teams to identify risks & opportunities to be assessed as part of the Advanced Planning process for critical decision making.

  • Execute portfolio management processes through established processes such as New Product Introduction route to market and tail management processes, refining the methodology and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with the Advanced Analytics team and/or Data Science to create, test and execute new robust data and analytics capabilities and methodologies that help modernize our Integrated Business Demand Planning capabilities.

  • Support the creation and delivery of critical planning based KPIs and cost targets for end-to-end planning (e.g., inefficiency budgeting / projections and obsolescence budgeting.)

  • Support future-state planning activities such as segmentation analysis, outlier correction, and driver management

  • Completes additional assignments as required by Manager, Advanced Demand Planning

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.A./B.S. in Business, Supply Chain (or equivalent), and/or 3-5+ years’ experience in supply chain demand planning or commercial planning

  • Proven knowledge and understanding of standard Integrated Business Planning practices, technology and supporting industry principles.

  • Strong forecasting ability with experience in predictive modeling

  • Understanding of technology enablement and current technology tools (i.e. o9, Blue Yonder, SAP), business intelligence tools & business analytics software

  • Must have excellent quantitative and qualitative skills to consolidate and analyze large volumes of data, with the ability to translate information for all areas of the business.

  • Advanced experience with ability to translate data thru storytelling into presentation formats such as PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPG Experience (specific to the beverage alcohol industry a plus)

  • APICS and/or IBF Certification

  • O9 Solutions experience

  • Two days in the Chicago Office; other days as business needs require

The salary range for this role is:

$80,400.00 - $120,600.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  Our compensation is based on cost of labor. For remote locations or positions open to multiple locations, the pay range may reflect several US geographic markets, including the lowest geographic market minimum to the highest geographic market maximum. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.  At Constellation Brands, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
