About the Role

As a Demo Engineer at Cresta, you’ll play a mission-critical role in enabling our go-to-market team to tell compelling, credible, and technically sound stories about Cresta’s AI-powered platform—including conversation intelligence, real-time coaching, analytics, and virtual agent capabilities. You’ll build and support environments, tooling, and synthetic scenarios that showcase the compelling value of our solution.

This role is equal parts problem-solver, builder, and strategic enabler. You’ll collaborate closely with the Solutions, Product, and Engineering teams to bring our AI-powered vision to life—enabling us to demo with precision and creativity across a wide variety of industries and buyer personas.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the technical process for building pilots, proof-of-concepts, and tailored demos by setting up environments, workflows, seed data, and features to create technically representative experiences for prospects, including virtual agents and live agent assist.
  • Expand and enhance our suite of standardized environments to bring customer challenges and Cresta’s solutions to life through new end-to-end demos, supported by call flows, industries, scenarios, and personas.
  • Ensure the performance, reliability, and consistency of demo environments, jumping in as needed to triage and resolve demo-blocking issues.
  • Develop integrations, automations, and tools to streamline team processes and expand demo capabilities, including CCaaS/CRM connectors, AI skills, and custom apps and interfaces.
  • Collaborate with the Product, Engineering, and Enablement teams to provide technical enablement to Solutions Engineers and ensure presales feedback is captured.
What You Bring
  • 3–5+ years of experience in demo engineering, solutions architecture, integrations/implementation engineering, or related technical product functions.
  • A strong working understanding of core technical concepts, including REST APIs, authentication patterns, Git, relational data, and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash/Shell).
  • A proven, high-agency ownership mindset, with the ability to use tools and data to independently resolve issues, identify gaps, and build solutions.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to understand and explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bonus Points
  • Experience working with key CCaaS (Twilio, Amazon Connect, Five9, etc.) and CRM (SFDC) platforms.
  • Experience using modern AI-native workflows, including Claude/Cursor skills, agents, and MCP connectors
  • Prior experience in high-growth SaaS or enterprise AI platforms.
Why This Role Matters
Demo Engineering at Cresta is a strategic differentiator—it’s how we translate cutting-edge AI into tangible customer value. As the manager, you’ll define how we scale that advantage, enabling our teams to tell better stories, win more deals, and shape the future of AI in the contact center.
Compensation at Cresta
$135K - $160K + Variable (OTE $169K to $200K)  + Equity (based on experience will vary)
Cresta’s approach to compensation is simple: recognize impact, reward excellence, and invest in our people. We offer competitive, location-based pay that reflects the market and what each individual brings to the table.
The posted base salary range represents what we expect to pay for this role in a given location. Final offers are shaped by factors like experience, skills, education, and geography. In addition to base pay, total compensation includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package for you and your family.
We have noticed a rise in recruiting impersonations across the industry, where scammers attempt to access candidates' personal and financial information through fake interviews and offers. All Cresta recruiting email communications will always come from the @cresta.ai domain. Any outreach claiming to be from Cresta via other sources should be ignored.  If you are uncertain whether you have been contacted by an official Cresta employee, reach out to [email protected]
