About Tambo

Tambo is an open-source toolkit for building agents that render your React components. We're five people, pre-seed, building infrastructure for AI-native apps. Everyone operates like a mini-founder for their area.

The Role

You'll own the component library developers use to build AI interfaces with Tambo. That's our internal design system and everything we ship to the community.

This is a building role. You ship code, not just mockups.

What You'll Do
  • Design and build production-ready React components. Thoughtful motion, solid accessibility, real polish.

  • Create a component library that looks great and that developers can actually customize

  • Figure out design patterns for AI-native UI. How should loading states work when an agent is thinking? What does it look like when an agent takes an action?

  • Prototype new interaction patterns with the engineering team

  • Ship. Constantly.

What We're Looking For
  • 5+ years building interactive web stuff

  • You're strong in React and TypeScript

  • Your portfolio shows product thinking, visual taste, and attention to the small details

  • You've built or contributed to component libraries or design systems before

  • You ship fast without cutting corners

Bonus Points
  • Tailwind CSS experience

  • Developer tools or technical product background

  • Figma-to-code workflows

  • You've thought about what AI interfaces should feel like

Comp may shift based on location and experience.
