Job Description:

Ryan Companies is looking for an organized, innovative, collaborative and forward-thinking individual who aims for the highest standards of excellence.  The ideal candidate will be able to problem solve and manage the design process, ensuring that design intent is executed on time and on budget, both as part of a collaborative team and independently.  Candidates with at least 12years of experience are most likely to be successful, however those with unique career experience or display clear potential for the role will be considered. Ryan Companies uses a unique integrated delivery process that involves architecture, engineering, construction, development, real estate management and capital markets.  Ryan’s integrated process requires an individual to be able to work in a proactive and positive manner in tandem with local teams and cross regionally with in a national design practice

Some things you can expect to do:

  • Works in tandem with Client, Director, department leadership and key project team members to develop project management plan for each phase of project.          

  • Manage and participate in design meetings, owner / client meetings and project team meetings.  Establish agendas, lead meetings in partnership with other A+E staff, document and communicate meeting decisions and next steps.

  • Develop resource plan including internal and consultant management.  Manage internal resources with the use of Deltek including regular review of team hours.  Manage Consultants including creating RFPs, soliciting proposals, selecting consultants in partnership with Director and department leadership, executing contracts and managing consultant’s scope.

  • Create and manage design schedule.  Communicate key milestones and deadlines to internal team, partners and consultants.  Collaborate with Director and Leadership to communicate schedule and resource requirements at department staffing meetings.

  • Manage Owner Authorization to Proceed process for each design phase of the project.

  • Manage project scope through tracking and communicating open items and priorities.

  • Manage deliverables.  Document and communicate deliverable expectations in partnership with development, construction and project team.  Track project progress to ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

  • Performs tasks with a high level of collaboration and sets an example for others to follow.

  • Contributes to Ryan culture through participation in office activities, initiatives and learning programs.

  • Direct, Supervise and mentor staff.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Professional Architecture degree; Bachelor or Master of Architecture a plus

  • Relevant professional work experience with a proven track record of managing multiple projects

  • Architectural licensure desired

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, resource and workload management 

  • Ability to collaborative and lead a diverse team

  • Strong knowledge of Excel, Procore, Deltek and other project management software is a plus

  • Revit knowledge and Bluebeam knowledge desired

  • LEED AP, WELL AP and PMP Certification a plus.

Compensation:

The base pay range is $92,600-$138,900/Annually. The salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
