UI Designer

It is with that in mind that we are looking to hire a talented UI Designer to join our User Experience team to drive the visual and interactive experiences across our desktop and mobile app. As part of our UX team, you would be joining a passionate, collaborative, and supportive group of individuals dedicated to improving our users’ experience. You will collaborate closely with UX designers, Product Managers, and Engineering to translate requirements into beautiful and usable interfaces as well as maintain and enhance our pattern library and help define and advance our overall UI strategy.
As our UI Designer, you’ll be responsible for:
- Understanding and building upon Hireology’s visual identity and design language
- Translating Product and UX requirements into useful, usable, and desirable interfaces, while considering research findings, scope limitations, and technical parameters
- Evaluating and setting best practices, visual design standards, and accessibility standards
- Owning, managing, and enhancing our unified, flexible design system
- Working with Marketing on a unified brand identity
- Managing and creating illustrations, icons, and other UI and branding assets
- Producing interactive prototypes and conducting usability tests in a rigorous, data-driven way

Okay, we’ve laid out what the job is - now are you qualified? Below are the minimum qualifications we’re looking for in a UI Designer candidate. Also, we want a chance to get to know who you are and why you applied, so please include a cover letter.
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a UI Designer, Product Designer, Visual Designer or Interaction Designer
- Broad experience in designing web and mobile apps and creating lightweight prototypes for testing
- Experience running usability tests with customers and translating findings into tangible actions
- Fluency in best practices for web and mobile app design, as well as a strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques
- Proficiency in Figma, Illustrator, and other design and prototyping tools
- A strong track record backed by an outstanding portfolio showcasing latest works
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and remotely
