Numerator is seeking a skilled DevOps Kubernetes Engineer to help build, scale, and modernize the infrastructure behind both our established products and new greenfield initiatives. You’ll work across a diverse technical landscape - from gamified mobile apps to large-scale web crawling and deep learning systems - that power our consumer insights platform.

In this role, you’ll make an immediate impact by driving our migration from on-prem to cloud, improving reliability and performance, and shaping how new projects are delivered at scale. This is a fast-paced, high-visibility opportunity with strong growth potential.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with infrastructure-as-code, experienced with Kubernetes in major cloud environments, and comfortable contributing to both operational architecture and broader technology initiatives across the Numerator portfolio.

What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in code reviews, design work and troubleshooting across business functions, multiple teams and product groups to help communicate, document and address infrastructure issues.

  • Look for innovative ways to improve observability, monitoring of large scale systems over a variety of technologies across the Numerator organization.

  • Participate in the creation of training material, helping teams embrace a culture of DevOps with self-healing and self-service ecosystems. This includes discovery, testing and integration of third party solutions in product roadmaps.

  • Build internal-facing tools that demonstrate performance and operational effectiveness to improve training, adoption and understanding of common Software Development and DevOps challenges.

  • Drive the team forward by helping refine and plan out tasks and epics during regular sprint planning.

  • Expose the team and wider application teams to new tools and technologies when possible and to drive PoCs with third party vendors during the vendor selection process.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Security, or Information Security.

  • 4+ years of experience in cloud-based systems across DevOps, IT, Networking, or Software Engineering.

  • Strong understanding of software architecture, reliability, availability, and performance engineering.

  • Hands-on knowledge of networking, operating systems, databases, packaging/build systems, and observability tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, Loki, Tempo, Mimir).

  • Skilled in deploying services with advanced networking, IAM role-based access, and Kubernetes within AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Proficient in Python, Golang, shell scripting, and rapid prototyping with third-party tools.

  • Comfortable using AI coding tools (e.g., Copilot) and pair-programming workflows.

  • Experienced in Agile methodologies and capable of managing multiple projects while proactively identifying technical risks.

  • Ability to quickly learn, deploy, and manage Kubernetes-based applications and third-party services using Terraform and Ansible.

  • Strong documentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.

What We Offer:

  • An inclusive and collaborative company culture - we work in an open environment while working together to get things done, and adapt to the changing needs as they come.

  • An opportunity to have an impact in a technologically data-driven company.

  • Ownership over platforms and environments in an industry-leading product.

  • Market competitive total compensation package.

  • Volunteer time off and charitable donation matching.

  • Strong support for career growth, including mentorship programs, leadership training, access to conferences and employee resources groups.

  • Regular hackathons to build your own projects and Engineering Lunch and Learns.

  • Great benefits package including health/vision/dental, flexible PTO, flexible schedule, RRSPs matching, travel reimbursement and more.

  • An opportunity to work in a fast moving growth company.
