Performs all of the duties and responsibilities of a registered pharmacist. Responsible for: accurate dispensing and counseling of prescriptions to patients; achievement of customer service and financial objectives; adherence to professional practices and Kelsey-Seybold policies and procedures; and management of all hourly Pharmacy personnel

Required Qualifications:
  • Graduate of School of Pharmacy
  • Current Texas Pharmacy license
  • Sterile IV Certified
  • 2+ years of retail pharmacy experience
  • 2+ years of IV experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with Pharmacy Department personnel to delegate duties, inform about policies, train, assist with performance appraisals, and approve refunds/expense/returns
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers for prescription counseling, handle complaints and problems, assist with questions, and recommend products/services
  • Demonstrated ability to operate computer terminal for processing prescriptions
  • Stress Tolerance - Demonstrated ability to accurately process prescriptions within the required amount of time
  • Proven professional appearance
  • Flexibility - Willing or ability to have a flexible schedule to work variable hours at different pharmacy locations upon request

Preferred Qualifications:
  • HMO and 3rd party managed care experience
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports (i.e., weekly/monthly, accident/injury Expense, security), maintain logs, complete daily Pharmacy Department personnel worklists, prepare paperwork for bank deposits, complete requisitions, and complete new hire paperwork
  • Demonstrated ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions/decimals to calculate gross profit, complete balance sheets, and review information concerning sales performance, sales versus expenses, payroll percentage to sales, and controllable expenses

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $44 - $79 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
