Caterpillar is hiring a Digital Consultant focused on dealer deployment of the digital products for Rental & Used equipment (including but not limited to CatRentals.com, Customer Portal, Rental DMT, CatUsed.com and MyUsed), and growth of dealer adoption, customer registrations, and customer utilization.
What you can look forward to in this role:
- Partners and collaborates with dealers to drive deployment of the Rental & Used suite of digital tools and platforms, focusing on delivering customer and business value defined in a variety of ways - typically in the form of increased registered users, user engagement/utilization, online leads, attributable sales - the full customer lifecycle.
- Interacts extensively with appropriate digital team members, data owners and analytics teams to understand the appropriate capabilities, integration points and deployment status as well as provide business requirements back into the Cat Digital organization.
- Collaborates with dealers on digital assessment of their organization providing recommendations and action plans to improve digital capabilities, processes, and online customer experiences.
- Provides supplemental tracking and reporting at an individual dealer level to provide actionable insights for digital experience improvement.
- Creates and operationalizes training resources for dealers to drive better consistency across the dealer network.
- Gathers VOC and VOB to support the digital roadmap for rental and communicates expectations and requirements to the Rental & Used Digital Product partners in Cat Digital.
- Identifies opportunities for lead process improvement with dealers.
- Actively stays in-tune with the competitive digital landscape and capabilities and leverages competitive intel and deep customer understanding to define future capability and enhancement requests.
- This role may provide dedicated focus to a critical capability, industry, region and/or project. Other job duties assigned as needed.

- Software Product Training: Knowledge of software product training; ability to create and deliver training on the implementation, operation and utilization of technology products and systems.
Top Candidates for this position may also have:
- Experience working with rental, digital, and marketing dealer teams
- Experience in digital marketing, technical marketing, product marketing, or consulting
- Product support or digital product development experience with strong ability to demonstrate digital capabilities
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to interact across all levels of the organization from team members to executive management
- Experience in the rental and/or used equipment industry
- Analytics and KPI acumen - ability to understand data, derive insights and utilize to take action and drive solutions
- Proven ability of influence without authority
- Proficiency speaking and writing Spanish
- Foundational working knowledge of Caterpillar's current digital capabilities and digital team operational model
