Samba TV is seeking a dynamic, proven sales leader to join our team as a Director, Agency Partnerships. You will be responsible for prospecting, cultivating, and closing long-term, high-value strategic partnerships with major agency holding companies and leading client-direct advertisers.

This role requires a candidate with an established, current network across the largest agency groups and a demonstrable track record of exceeding aggressive sales quotas. You will act as a thought leader, championing the adoption of Samba TV’s proprietary cross-screen data, measurement, and programmatic solutions within your client base.

This position reports to the US VP, Agency and Brand Sales.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Quota Achievement & New Business: Consistently plan, forecast, and exceed assigned quarterly and annual revenue targets through proactive outreach and strategic account management.
  • Strategic Relationship Management: Develop and expand relationships at the executive and mid-level with key decision-makers within major agency holding companies and large brand direct teams.
  • Cross-Screen Solution Selling: Present Samba TV’s proprietary, AI-driven solutions—including our unique measurement, identity, and programmatic data offerings—to drive deep product adoption across TV and digital teams.
  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Lead complex negotiations and deal structuring, guiding the sales process from initial prospecting and needs analysis through solution development and final closing.
  • Market Leadership: Serve as a highly visible brand advocate and subject matter expert in the digital, CTV, and linear TV advertising and analytics marketplace.
  • Internal Alignment: Partner with Vertical Named Accounts teams and collaborate closely with Product, Client Services, and Analytics teams to ensure seamless client delivery and maximum customer retention.

What You'll Bring (Requirements)

  • Proven Quota Success: A non-negotiable track record of 7+ years in media/Ad-tech sales with a history of consistently meeting and significantly exceeding revenue goals.
  • Deep Domain Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the Ad-tech/Mar-tech ecosystem, including strong understanding of programmatic media, CTV/OTT, linear TV, and cross-screen measurement.
  • Agency Network: Established, current relationships and executive presence required to sell to and influence decision-makers at major advertising agencies and brand direct organizations.
  • Sales Acumen: Exceptional ability to manage a pipeline, accurately forecast revenue, strategically manage complex client situations, and develop executable solutions in short time frames.
  • Executive Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills suitable for communicating strategic value to C-level agency and brand executives.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Demonstrated commitment to keeping up with market trends, understanding evolving client needs, and adapting sales strategies to a dynamic environment.
  • Team Orientation: Experience mentoring or coaching high-output sales professionals is a plus, along with a focus on accountability and high-velocity prospecting activity.
  • Travel: Ability to travel 25-50% of the time, as needed, for client meetings and industry events.
  • Education: BS/BA in Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred. Fluency with CRM tools and G Suite/Microsoft Office applications is required.
