Our Team
Our team is passionate, talented, and customer-focused. We embody our Leadership Principles in our work and culture. We are a distributed team with remote employees across every US time zone, as well as select offices in the US and internationally.
Who You Are
Brightwheel is seeking a results-oriented Director of Analytics and GTM Systems to lead our central analytics and GTM systems functions, and scale their impact across the business. This high-visibility role offers the opportunity to shape how data informs decisions and accelerates growth across all of brightwheel’s teams, with leverage to deliver company-changing impact.
We believe AI can fundamentally change how our company operates—but only if we re-imagine how analytics and GTM systems operate and are built to scale. This is not just optimizing dashboards, or incremental improvements—it’s a step-function change in how decisions are made and executed, how we reach out and speak to customers, with AI at the core.
You are focused on delivering business value, whether directly through your team, your stakeholders, or your analysis. You think clearly and communicate the same way. You know how to balance strategy and tactics, and solve for one by using the other, identifying opportunities even inside problems. You are an excellent communicator, able to manage both ICs on your team and c-suite interactions one after the other. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments and excel at bringing structure, clarity, and insight to complexity. You take ownership beyond your remit and use data to drive progress across the business. You're excited to build an AI-native future for analytics, not just adapt to it.
What You’ll Do
Lead our established, high-performing central analytics function, scaling its impact across brightwheel’s strategic and operational priorities.
Lead our established technical systems architecture and admin teams, redesigning our GTM stack for efficiency in an AI-first world.
Deliver impactful, company-wide capabilities that improve business outcomes and drive key decisions, even while supporting our businesses’ operating cadence.
Pioneer an AI-native analytics and systems approach, equipping analysts, sales reps, engineers, and stakeholders with tools and systems that enable autonomy, efficiency, and innovation that was not possible just a few years ago.
Navigate cross-functional priorities, support decentralized business needs, and balance centralized initiatives.
What You’ve Done
Led analytics teams at the org or company level, supporting multiple managers and multiple stakeholders, ideally in high-growth environments..
Designed GTM motions from tooling architecture to insights to action.
You’ve owned outcomes, not just outputs. Business impact like growth, efficiency, conversion, retention, not just dashboards or insights.
Driven change in how whole companies operate — via tooling, workflows, and mindset/culture. Our mission is to transform the company using data– not just improve reporting.
Collaborated closely with executive leaders to shape strategy using data, including creating structure in ambiguity.
You’ve gone beyond local optimizations to rethink how data flows from first principles, from ingestion to action.
Successfully define vision, build a plan, and deliver projects with broad business impact across multiple domains through your team and your stakeholders, both in scrappy and structured environments.
Familiarity with modern data stacks, from data ingestion, through modeling and reporting and AI tools, and scalable analytics infrastructure (bonus if you’ve deployed them).
This role is not a fit if…
You’ve primarily operated as a reporting or service function; This role requires proactively identifying problems and driving solutions—not waiting for stakeholders to define work.
You focus on outputs (dashboards, analyses) more than outcomes; We are looking for someone accountable for business impact, not just delivering insights.
You prefer optimizing existing systems over redesigning them; This role requires rethinking how analytics and GTM systems work end-to-end, not incremental improvements.
You have not led through ambiguity or transformation; You will be stepping into a complex, evolving environment where problems are not clearly defined. We are looking for someone who seeks change.
You rely on authority to get things done; Success in this role requires influencing across teams with competing priorities, not just managing within your org.
You are not excited to build in an AI-first way; This role requires actively applying AI to change how work gets done—not treating it as an add-on.
You prefer clearly scoped roles with defined boundaries; This role requires high agency, ownership beyond remit, and comfort operating across domains.
