Hourly Pay Range:

$74.78 - $115.91 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Job Summary:

  • The System Director, Benefits is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all aspects of the organization’s health, welfare and wellness programs. This role ensures that benefit offerings align with Endeavor Health’s strategic goals, comply with legal requirements, and meet the needs of our Team Members and their families. The System Director, Benefits will also oversee and manage all vendor relationships, budget management, and benefits communication strategies in partnership with the external benefit consultant.

What you will do:

  • Benefits Strategy and Planning:                                                                                  
    • Develop and implement the organization’s benefits strategy, aligning it with the overall System Mission, Vision and Values.
    • Conduct regular reviews of existing and new benefits programs to ensure they are competitive, cost-effective, and meet Team Member needs.
    • Analyze market trends and benchmarks to make informed recommendations for benefits changes and enhancements.
  • Program Management:                                         
    • Oversee the administration of Team Member benefit programs, including some or all; health, dental, vision, life, disability, leave, time off and other wellness programs.
    • Evaluate and optimize benefit offerings to ensure they meet Team Member needs and align with the System and HR goals and objectives.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
    • Manage the benefits enrollment and Team Member benefit transition process, including annual open enrollment, new hire process, benefit change process and termination continuation process.
  • Vendor Management:        
    • Select, negotiate, and manage relationships with benefits vendors and third-party administrators.
    • Monitor vendor performance and resolve any issues related to service delivery.
  • Budget and Cost Management:                                                                                   
    • Develop and manage the benefits budget, ensuring cost control and efficient use of resources.
    • Analyze benefits costs and make recommendations for cost-saving measures while maintaining competitive benefits offerings.
  • Communication and Education:                                                                                  
    • Develop and implement communication strategies to educate Team Members about their benefit options and any changes to programs.
    • Provide support and guidance to Leaders, HR Business Partners and Team Members regarding benefits questions and issues as needed.
  • Compliance and Reporting:                                                                                          
    • Ensure all benefits programs comply with applicable laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, ACA, etc.).
    • Prepare and maintain documentation and reports related to benefits administration and compliance.
    • Stay updated on changes in employment laws and regulations related to benefits.
  • Team Leadership:                                                                                                     
    • Lead and mentor a team of benefits professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
    • Collaborate with other HR Team Members and departments to support organizational goals and initiatives.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • Certification: Professional designation or certification (e.g., CEBS, CBP, SHRM-SCP, etc.) strongly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 7-10 years of experience in employee benefits management, including experience in a benefits leadership role.
