About The Role
The Director of Global Business Development will drive international growth across North America and Europe, focusing on expanding strategic relationships, developing high-value opportunities, and strengthening our position in packaging automation, freight, and logistics.
This leader combines commercial acumen with operational understanding of supply chain networks, warehouse automation, and freight optimization. They will be responsible for identifying opportunities that integrate Packsize’s on-demand packaging solutions into broader logistics and fulfillment ecosystems — enabling customers to achieve greater efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability in their end-to-end operations.
What You'll Do
Global Strategy & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute the company’s global business development strategy across North America and Europe.
- Identify high-potential verticals and strategic accounts in e-commerce, 3PL, freight, and warehousing.
- Analyze logistics trends, cross-border freight flows, and emerging technologies to guide regional expansion.
- Lead commercial planning to align opportunity development with company growth targets and operational capabilities.
Freight, Logistics, and Warehouse Partnerships
- Build and manage strategic relationships with logistics providers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, integrators, and automation partners.
- Develop partnership and go-to-market programs that integrate right-sized packaging within warehouse and distribution networks.
- Support field teams in shaping solutions that deliver measurable ROI on freight, cube utilization, and labor optimization.
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to ensure alignment between commercial strategy and delivery capability.
Pipeline Leadership & Revenue Growth
- Leverage deep knowledge of freight and warehouse operations to quantify and communicate Packsize’s value in reducing transportation costs, improving cube utilization, and driving operational efficiency.
- Build tailored financial models and ROI analyses that demonstrate freight savings, warehouse throughput improvements, and sustainability gains achievable through right-sized packaging solutions.
- Develop playbooks and customer tools that link Packsize’s automation technology directly to measurable logistics cost reductions and fulfillment performance improvements.
- Establish clear KPIs for opportunity creation, partner contribution, and regional performance metrics.
Cross-Functional Alignment
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure market feedback influences roadmap and messaging.
- Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to assess feasibility, logistics impact, and integration readiness for new opportunities.
- Support leadership with forecasting, commercial modeling, and international market planning.
What You'll Bring
- 15+ years of experience in logistics, freight, or supply chain operations with a focus on B2B manufacturing, DTC fulfillment, Material Handling Equipment, or packaging.
- Proven record of driving growth and partnerships in freight, warehousing, or distribution networks.
- Deep understanding of logistics processes (inbound/outbound freight, warehouse layout, fulfillment optimization, and automation technologies).
- Experience working across North American and European markets, with strong cultural fluency and ability to lead distributed teams.
- Strong analytical and commercial skills; ability to develop business cases, model ROI, and negotiate strategic partnerships.
- Excellent communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
Performance Metrics:
- Freight and logistics partnership growth and expansion of Packsize’s presence in the 3PL and warehouse ecosystem
- Revenue impact from freight savings value proposition for the target market.
- Effectiveness of content and tools (business cases, calculators, sales collateral) developed to quantify and capture freight-related value with customers
- Regional revenue growth and opportunity conversion rates
- Cost-to-serve and operational efficiency improvements tied to new programs
- Team performance, enablement, and quota attainment
What We Offer:
The salary range for this role is $143,930-$179,900/yr USD base + bonus; however, Packsize considers several factors when determining compensation when extending a job offer, including but not limited to, the role being offered, the associated responsibilities, the candidate's prior work experience, education/training, and any special skills.
Packsize offers a competitive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life, and 401(k) employer match. Pay will be commensurate with experience.
