We are seeking a Director of Business Intelligence to lead our BI function and take it to the next level. This exciting leadership opportunity involves setting the strategic direction for how we deliver business intelligence and actionable insights across the organization. The Director will be accountable for partnering with leaders across the company, and evolving our BI processes and tools, to ensure data-driven decisions drive the long-term success of Forward Financing.
In this role you will:
Manage and grow a team of Data Analysts/Business Intelligence professionals including individual contributors and managers.
Define and execute the strategic vision for Business Intelligence across the organization, including all of the technology, people and processes the team should leverage to operate at the highest level.
Oversee the planning, budgeting, and execution for the Business Intelligence function, including the full lifecycle of BI projects and initiatives.
Act as a key partner and strategic resource for leaders across all departments (Sales, Underwriting, Account Servicing, Finance, Legal, Marketing, etc.) to help shape key metrics, KPIs, data models and dashboards.
Collaborate with Analytics Engineering to design and implement scalable data models and business logic that form the foundation for all analyses and dashboards.
Stay current on industry trends, new BI solutions (like Snowflake Intelligence), and recommend ideas to elevate the team's capabilities and improve how we deliver business intelligence.
Clearly communicate complex insights, metrics and data strategy to both technical and senior non-technical stakeholders.
Role Requirements:
10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Analytics Engineering
4+ years of leadership experience managing and mentoring a team of Business Intelligence Analysts or Analytics Engineers.
Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Expert-level SQL and data modeling skills.
Extensive experience in developing and managing data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI.
Experience with modern data warehousing and tooling (e.g., Snowflake and dbt)
Excellent ability to understand complex business problems, break them down, and create effective, data-driven solutions.
Nice to Have:
Experience in the lending or fintech industry
Experience implementing AI-based solutions for BI (e.g., Snowflake Intelligence)
Annual Targeted Salary: $211,000– $265,000 USD
Annual Target Bonus: 20%
