Role Overview 

LiveU is seeking a Director of Corporate Development to lead corporate development initiatives with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions, alongside select strategic partnerships. This is a senior, business-oriented, externally facing role responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing inorganic growth opportunities that align with LiveU’s long-term strategy. 

The ideal candidate brings a blend of M&A experience, strategic thinking, and deep familiarity with the technology ecosystem. This role works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams across product, finance, legal, and go-to-market. 

Key Responsibilities 

M&A and Corporate Development (Primary Focus) 

  • Proactively source and evaluate acquisition targets across broadcast, media, public safety technology, including real time video, visual intelligence, critical communications, transmission, cloud video, and digital media. 
  • Lead initial strategic and commercial screening of potential targets, including market positioning, product fit, and GTM alignment. 
  • Build detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and business cases to support investment decisions. 
  • Conduct market, competitive, and synergy analyses to assess strategic fit and long-term value creation. 
  • Support end-to-end transaction execution, including coordination with executive leadership, finance, legal, investors and external advisors. 
  • Play a key role in post-merger integration planning, with emphasis on business alignment, GTM execution, and value realization. 

Strategic Partnerships (Secondary Focus) 

  • Identify and develop high-impact strategic partnerships that complement LiveU’s inorganic growth strategy. 
  • Engage externally with executives, founders, and senior stakeholders to structure commercially meaningful partnerships. 
  • Collaborate with product and sales leadership to ensure partnerships align with roadmap and revenue objectives. 
  • Evaluate partnership-driven business models, routes to market, and expansion opportunities. 
Requirements

Qualifications & Experience 

  • 5–10+ years of experience in corporate development, M&A, business development, strategy, or investment-related roles. 
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with M&A sourcing, evaluation, and execution (buy-side experience preferred). 
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and P&L analysis skills. 
  • Experience in broadcast, public safety, critical communications, visual intelligence, video, digital media, media technology, or adjacent technology sectors. 
  • Proven ability to engage externally with senior executives and founders. 
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills. 
  • Experience in interfacing with product teams for delivery of successful partner  
  • integrations 
  • Self driven individual who can also leverage matrix management to drive others 
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, growth-oriented environment. 
  • MBA or equivalent business education is a plus. 

Preferred Background 

  • Experience at public safety, visual intelligence technology or media technology companies, broadcasters, streaming platforms, or cloud technology providers. 
  • Exposure to ecosystem-driven GTM models, platform partnerships, or channel strategies. 
  • Prior experience working with U.S.-based technology companies and global teams.
