About this position:

This role will work primarily on our affiliate marketing platform, Mavely.

As the Director, Creator Acquisition, you will lead a team dedicated to onboarding and activating influencers on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and more. In collaboration with the VP of Creator Success, you’ll be responsible for  high volume creator acquisition, VIP programs to recruit top tier talent, and building/overseeing Agency relationships. All programs include high touch creator engagement to achieve the best creator experience.

What you'll be doing:

Influencer Strategy for overall Acquisition

  • Develop and execute an influencer acquisition strategy to identify and engage with relevant influencers who will be successful on the Mavely platform.
  • Establish and maintain key partnerships with influencers, agencies, and talent management companies to expand our network and increase brand visibility.
  • Leverage data and insights to make data-driven decisions and improve influencer acquisition and activation strategies.

Team Management and Collaboration

  • Lead and manage a team responsible for onboarding and activating influencers.
  • Set clear objectives, provide guidance, and foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, and Account Management to ensure clear messaging of who Mavely is and how to best position us in the market.

Creator Persona and Quota Determination

  • Set realistic quotas and performance targets for the influencer acquisition team and monitor progress regularly.
  • Provide real time feedback and coaching on overcoming objections and communicating our value proposition. 
  • Analyze data and metrics to optimize time between onboarding to activation time along with linking and GMV performance.
  • Test new initiatives, partnerships and techniques to find new paths to entry for creators/ influencers.

Onboarding and Activation

  • Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process for influencers, ensuring a seamless experience from sign up to GMV production.
  • Provide guidance and support to influencers to ensure that they are activating post sign up and determining what else needs to be done to support them to getting started.
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of influencers and provide recommended strategic changes to the onboarding flow to effectively engage creators differently.

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field 
  • 5-7 years of experience in acquisition/sales in the influencer space. Proven track record of successfully acquiring and activating influencers.
  • Required experience in leading high performing teams in a fast paced environment
  • Strong network of influencer contacts and experience in building and managing relationships with influencers and talent agencies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate brand value propositions and build mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics and evaluate influencer performance.
  • Proactive problem solver who leads with a solution minded approach.

Our approach to compensation:

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. 

Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Salary Range: 

$140,000 - 150,000 base + bonus
