About the Role

We’re building a high-leverage engine: a marketplace of third-party strategies, indicators, scanners, bots for TrendSpider users. We need a leader to own this end-to-end — from recruiting and onboarding developers to promoting their work, ensuring quality, and making the store itself a growth driver. As GM of the store, you will own the P&L and be empowered to steer product, marketing, operations, and partnerships for this vertical. You’ll be building an ecosystem.

Please note: This position is only open to applicants in the United States who are authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to consider resumes from outside of the United States for this role.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and own the strategy, roadmap, KPIs, and P&L for the add-on marketplace
  • Manage the developer onboarding process: application, review, testing, approval, audits
  • Design and run incentives and revenue share models to attract top-tier developers
  • Actively source, recruit, and onboard new developers / quant traders / algorithmic shops
  • Coordinate with marketing to promote store offerings to TrendSpider’s user base (email campaigns, cross-site banners, blog, webinars)
  • Build and maintain automated recommendation systems, discovery features, curated collections
  • Monitor quality, performance, user feedback, and enforce standards
  • Handle payout operations, revenue accounting, refunds, fraud risk, and related financial operations
  • Analyze sales trends, user adoption, bottlenecks, and run experiments to improve conversion
  • Liaise with product / platform teams to ensure add-on integration is seamless and performant
  • Serve as the internal evangelist / champion for the store — both inside the company and externally

What You Bring

  • Prior experience managing a software marketplace, app store, plugin ecosystem, or similar third-party development platform
  • Strong technical literacy (you don’t need to code full time but you must understand APIs, integration risks, performance, security)
  • Proven ability to recruit and manage external developer communities or ecosystems
  • Experience in product marketing / growth: launching, acquiring users or developers, promoting digital products
  • Analytical mindset — able to operate from data (conversion funnels, retention curves, cohort analysis)
  • Bias for execution: resourceful, hands-on, able to own ambiguous problems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfort with financial operations, revenue share models, contracts
  • Passion for trading / quant / financial tech (strong bonus)

Success Metrics

  • Number of active developers (good quality) onboarded
  • Growth in store revenue (total and per-add-on)
  • Conversion rate of store visits → purchases
  • Retention / usage of purchases over time
  • Quality indicators: average bug rate, refund rate, user satisfaction
  • Developer satisfaction / NPS
  • Operating margins, cash flow from store operations

Why Join

  • You’ll build something high-leverage: every dev you onboard multiplies value
  • Big upside: owning a full P&L within a growing fintech platform
  • Work at the intersection of trading, dev communities, marketplace dynamics — high domain specificity
  • Strong support from core TrendSpider team (product, marketing, design)
  • Fun work environment with potential to make a big impact on a fast growing, innovative startup
  • Please note: This position is only open to applicants in the United States who are authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to consider resumes from outside of the United States for this role.

About TrendSpider

TrendSpider is a Chicago-based fintech company specializing in next-generation, automated technical analysis software for traders. Its patented, award-winning platform brings institutional-level tools—trendline and Fibonacci detection, candlestick and chart pattern recognition, heatmaps, gap and breakout alerts—to retail investors, analysts, hedge funds, RIAs, and corporate trading teams alike.

By automating the tedious aspects of chart analysis, TrendSpider helps users uncover opportunities more quickly and accurately than manual methods allow. The platform integrates extensive data sources—seasonality, dark-pool and short-volume, earnings, dividends, macroeconomic indicators, even Reddit sentiment—and supports full-fledged strategy testing, real-time scanning, multi-factor alerts, and AI-driven signal tools.

TrendSpider’s technology is protected under issued U.S. patents and trademarks. It is a subsidiary of Niche Theory Holdings, LLC, and operates SignalStack LLC, a routing platform for automated order execution.
