Who You Are

Ontic is looking for a Director of Digital Marketing to build and lead an AI-first digital marketing function that drives predictable pipeline growth. You’re a builder: someone who loves designing systems, running experiments, and turning data into decisions. You have a clear point of view on how digital marketing should work in 2026 — modern, AI-native, and accountable to revenue — and you’re excited to help uplevel the marketing organization into a world-class growth engine. This is the most technical leadership role on the marketing team, partnering closely with Engineers, RevOps, and Marketing Operations to strengthen the data and tooling foundation of digital marketing.

In this role, you will be accountable for:

  • Growing digital-sourced pipeline and conversion across the funnel.

  • Building an AI-first way of working across digital channels.

  • Running a measurement system that the business trusts.

  • Hiring and developing a high-performing digital team.

What You Will Do

Build an AI-First Digital Marketing Function

  • Define how digital marketing runs at Ontic — the workflows, tools, and AI capabilities that let a small team produce more, learn faster, and ship better work.

  • Partner closely with Ontic’s GTM Engineer to reimagine how digital marketing operates, building an AI orchestration stack and agentic automation for full-funnel execution.

  • Set the standards for responsible AI use, brand accuracy, and data handling across the team.

  • Continuously modernize the stack and ways of working so the team stays ahead of where digital marketing is going.

Drive Pipeline Growth from Digital Marketing Channels

  • Own strategy and performance across the website, paid media, SEO/AEO, email, and other digital marketing programs.

  • Execute the digital side of integrated campaigns that Demand Gen plans, making sure our channels deliver against shared pipeline goals.

  • Set channel mix and budgets, and manage to clear pipeline, conversion, and efficiency targets.

  • Build a high-velocity experimentation and program optimization that compounds learnings into better performance over time.

Partner Across Marketing and Cross-Functional Teams

  • Work closely with Demand Gen, Product Marketing, and Brand/Content to turn integrated campaigns and messaging into digital experiences that convert.

  • Support Demand Gen’s ownership of sales touchpoints by executing cleanly on the digital programs that feed them.

  • Partner with RevOps and Marketing Operations on attribution, tracking, data quality, and a shared source of truth for performance.

  • Align with Sales on what pipeline we need, what is working, and how we hand off leads.

  • Bring clarity and a strong POV to cross-functional conversations so we move quickly and make good tradeoffs.

Lead and Develop a High-Performance Team

  • Build and grow a team of digital marketers who love building and learning.

  • Set clear expectations, raise the bar on quality, and create an operating rhythm the team can count on.

  • Build playbooks and documentation so the team scales without losing speed or quality.

  • Create an environment where people do the best work of their careers.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in B2B digital marketing, with 3+ years leading teams or functions accountable for pipeline.

  • Deep, hands-on expertise across the website, paid media, SEO/AEO, CRO, and lifecycle/lead capture.

  • Technically savvy: fluent in digital marketing data and tooling (analytics/tracking, site performance, schema & technical SEO, tag management) and able to partner effectively with Engineering and Ops.

  • Strong analytical chops: you are comfortable in the data, form clear hypotheses, and make decisions from evidence.

  • A track record of running structured experimentation programs that meaningfully moved the business.

  • Hand-on experience and deep passion for using AI tools to improve marketing output and outcomes; bonus if you’ve helped stand up AI orchestration or agentic workflows.

  • Proficiency with modern martech: marketing automation (Marketo), CRM (Salesforce), analytics (GA4/BI), Wordpress, and ABM/intent tools a plus.

  • Strong leader and communicator who can influence across Marketing and cross-functionally.

  • Experience in SaaS, cybersecurity, threat intelligence, or a similar complex B2B category is a plus.
