As a key EPD leader, you will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver and manage an innovative, automated, flexible billing platform that supports our expanding global business and Customer needs.  If you’re passionate about building high-scale financial systems, leading world-class service teams, and driving innovation in billing and payments, we want to hear from you!

What you’ll do (responsibilities):
  • Technical Leadership: Drive the architecture and evolution of our global billing platform, ensuring it meets scalability, reliability, and compliance requirements.
  • Strategic Vision: Develop and execute a multi-year roadmap for billing and payments platform services, aligning with business growth and evolving product offerings.
  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence.
  • Billing and Monetization Innovation: Partner with EPD teams to develop flexible, automated, and self-service billing models, including subscriptions, usage-based pricing, and enterprise contracts.
  • System Integration & Optimization: Oversee integrations with third-party payment processors, ERP systems, tax engines, and revenue recognition platforms to streamline financial operations.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure the platform adheres to global financial regulations, PCI compliance, data security standards, and best practices in fraud prevention.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and refine SLAs, monitoring, and incident response processes to maintain system reliability and a seamless customer billing experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders including Product, Design, Finance, Legal, and Customer Success to align on billing requirements and system capabilities.
  • Cost Optimization & Performance: Optimize infrastructure costs while maintaining system performance and ensuring financial data integrity.
What you’ll need (basic qualifications):
  • 8+ years of People Management experience leading Engineering teams, with an emphasis on developing key talent and cultivating positive, high-performing cultures. A people-focused leadership style, with a track record of motivating and inspiring individuals and teams.
  • 6+ years of experience in online Billing and/or Payments platforms, with a focus on B2C/B2B4C. Strong technical background in designing and building high-availability billing and financial platforms.
  • 6+ years of experience with modern cloud-based architectures (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure). Deep understanding of billing models, payment gateways, tax compliance, invoicing, and revenue recognition principles.
  • 6+ years of experience in software engineering with experience with large-scale cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP), including CICD-driven software development, testing, release management and microservices-based engineering.
  • Proficiency in working with third-party billing systems (e.g., Stripe, NetSuite).
  • Experience ensuring compliance with PCI DSS, GDPR, SOC 2, and other regulatory frameworks. Knowledge of data security, fraud detection, and financial compliance best practices.
  • Strong understanding of good delivery practices and continual integration and improvement.
  • Strong cross functional collaboration and influencing skills, including the ability to influence without formal authority.
What's nice to have (preferred qualifications):
  • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, fintech, or high-growth technology companies.
  • Exposure to AI-driven fraud detection and risk management in financial transactions.

This role is an opportunity to shape the billing platform services for a global technology company and make a direct impact on customer experience. If you thrive at the intersection of Engineering, Product, Design & Finance, we’d love to hear from you!
