Job Description Summary

Job Description

The Director, Executive Compensation will be a key member of C&W’s corporate Human Resources team.  This person will be central to driving the organization’s executive compensation strategy, including design, implementation, communication, and administration of programs aligned with C&W business objectives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Assess the effectiveness of existing executive compensation programs and ensure strong pay for performance alignment

  • Recommend plan design changes and new plans that are consistent with market practices/trends, corporate strategy and compensation philosophy

  • Monitor existing executive compensation policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on pay decisions applicable to executives, based on market data and business conditions.

  • Lead the design, implementation/communication, and administration of short- and long-term incentive plans including the equity program.

  • Conduct competitive market analyses for executives and lead the annual review process including compensation adjustments.

  • Develop the materials for the Compensation Committee meetings. 

  • Draft the CD&A and executive pay disclosures for C&W’s annual proxy, as well as all other regulatory filings related to executive compensation. 

  • Oversee the work of outside consultants and attorneys as it relates to the executive compensation plans. 

  • Prepare project reports, presentations and status updates for executive management and others. 

  • Partner with Legal and Finance concerning the operation and financial impact of the compensation programs, as well as regulatory filings.

  • Stay current on new legislation and ideas that may impact plan design or cost.  Keep apprised of global laws and regulations to ensure compliance of the compensation programs.

  • Manage multiple, parallel projects with minimal direction and exercise independent judgment and initiative with autonomy.

  • Demonstrate the ability to establish credibility and sustain positive relationships at all levels, both in-house and outside.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in executive compensation or similar area of expertise; strong hands-on expertise in legal, accounting, tax, and corporate governance matters concerning executive/equity compensation programs

  • Superior analytical skills, able to work with large amounts of confidential data.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Leadership and presentation skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and internal networking skills.

  • Results orientation.

  • Business acumen and strategic thinking.

Education:

Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $178,500.00 - $210,000.00
