We are seeking an experienced Director, Finance to provide strategic financial leadership, business partnership, and operational support across the organization. This role is responsible for driving forecasting, budgeting, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), executive reporting, and strategic decision-making while ensuring financial transparency and operational efficiency. The Director, Finance will partner closely with senior leadership to drive business performance, support corporate initiatives, and lead a high-performing finance team.

What You'll Be Doing
 
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Lead and manage the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial plans.

  • Develop comprehensive financial reporting and trend analysis packages for executive leadership.

  • Monitor key business performance indicators and communicate risks, opportunities, and financial trends.

  • Analyze and explain material variances between actual and forecasted results.

  • Build financial models to evaluate profitability, operational performance, and investment opportunities.

  • Support management in achieving short-term and long-term financial objectives.
     

Strategic Business Partnership
  • Partner with segment presidents, vice presidents, and business leaders to evaluate financial performance and support strategic initiatives.

  • Provide financial and operational insights to support decision-making across the organization.

  • Assist in the preparation of Audit Committee and Board of Directors presentations and financial materials.

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

  • Present financial results and recommendations to executive leadership teams.

  • Support corporate messaging and promote financial transparency throughout the organization.
     

Corporate Finance & Operational Excellence
  • Support mergers and acquisitions activities, including financial integration, reporting, and forecasting.

  • Develop and maintain cost models to evaluate business, departmental, and product profitability.

  • Manage global budgeting processes and budget-to-actual performance reviews.

  • Support capital expenditure forecasting and reporting, including software development investments.

  • Prepare ad hoc financial and operational analyses as required.

  • Act as a liaison with internal and external audit teams.

  • Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies, controls, and procedures.
     

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and develop finance team members.

  • Establish performance expectations and conduct performance evaluations.

  • Provide mentoring and career development opportunities for direct reports.

  • Support talent acquisition activities, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training.

  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on continuous improvement and accountability.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and performance standards.
     

What We Look For
 
Education

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • CPA certification.

  • MBA or equivalent advanced business degree.

Experience

Required:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Corporate Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), or related finance leadership roles.

  • 10+ years of people leadership and supervisory experience.

  • Strong analytical, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling experience.

  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.

  • Experience presenting financial information to executive teams and business leaders.

  • Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions and post-acquisition integrations.

  • Experience applying capitalized software accounting guidance.

  • Knowledge of software licensing models and related accounting principles.

  • Experience supporting software development organizations and technology-enabled businesses.

  • Experience with foreign currency accounting and multinational financial operations.

  • Experience managing large and complex datasets.

  • Experience within healthcare, clinical research, technology, life sciences, or regulated industries.

  • Working knowledge of FDA regulations.
