Position Summary:

The Director of Growth and Market Development drives Mitutoyo’s growth engine by integrating marketing, digital engagement, customer success, and market research into a cohesive strategy that accelerates brand awareness, lead generation, and customer loyalty.
This role ensures that Mitutoyo’s market presence, customer experience, and brand communications translate directly into measurable business outcomes across both direct and distributor channels.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a data-driven growth strategy aligned with company objectives.
    Integrate marketing, digital engagement, and customer success into a single growth platform.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Operations to align initiatives and share insights.
    Set annual growth metrics and review progress quarterly through dashboard-based reporting.
  • Lead the modernization of Mitutoyo’s digital ecosystem, including web, portal, and e-commerce.
  • Oversee all brand communications and campaigns to ensure message consistency and customer impact.
  • Leverage analytics, SEO, and automation tools to optimize lead generation and engagement.
  • Partner with distributors to build co-marketing programs and extend market reach.
  • Develop post-sale engagement programs that increase satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Partner with Service, Quality, and Product to implement feedback-driven improvements.
  • Monitor key metrics such as NPS, retention, and customer lifetime value.
  • Expand educational resources and support channels to enhance the customer experience.
  • Direct ongoing research on market trends, competitor positioning, and technology evolution.
  • Translate insights into actionable business plans and recommendations.
  • Support executive decision-making with timely market data and predictive analytics.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a cross-functional team of marketing, digital, and customer success professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and accountability.
  • Represent Growth in strategic planning sessions and cross-departmental initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Marketing Manager and Sales Development GM

Work Environment: Office Environment. 

 Physical Demands: The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.  

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 8:30 am 5:00 pm

Travel:   25% Travel

Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in marketing, growth, or business development leadership (manufacturing or industrial B2B preferred).
• Strong understanding of distributor and direct sales models.
• Demonstrated success leading teams across multiple growth functions.
• Proficiency in CRM, marketing automation, analytics, and digital engagement platforms.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
