This banking professional will collaborate with Northwestern Mutual (NM) Advisors to help high net worth clients achieve financial goals by consulting on cash management, lending, and related solutions; educate advisors on banking and lending solutions to increase their relevance; partner with NM's third-party partners and position solutions to NM advisors; and guide NM's banking, trust and lending strategy.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consult, recommend, and help implement cash management and lending solutions that support high net worth client's financial goals.
- Develop tailored banking strategies that address clients' unique investment, risk management, and financing/liquidity needs.
- Provide subject matter expertise to enterprise partners (CPAs, JDs, CFPs, etc).
- Partner with NM's banking partners to implement and maximize effectiveness of solutions.
- Identify and address friction points with existing cash management and lending solutions.
- Develop and deliver lending and cash management education and sales enablement collateral to internal and external audiences.
- Work with NM Advisors to curate relationships with local and regional banks, banking institutions and lending institutions.
- Contribute to development and ongoing execution of NM's banking, trust and lending strategy and roadmap.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in a Private Banking or related role working with HNW clients (net worth $10M+ minimum).
- Bachelor's degree required. Advanced degree preferred (MBA).
- People management experience preferred.
- Trust experience preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of banking solutions including securities and insurance backed lending, mortgage loans, and cash management solutions.
- Thorough knowledge of credit and lending practices including analyzing financial information.
- Client centric written and verbal communication skills.
- Broad understanding of financial planning, estate planning and trust planning.
